Boho Hand Woven Guatemalan Fabric Crossbody Bags from Concerned Crafts
These are small envelope crossbody bags. When laid flat they measure approximately 7" by 6". The strap drop is approximately 19".
These bags are made of 100% cotton fabric. The front features a floral design embroidered by hand by an artisan in Guatemala. Theback has patterned Guatemalan fabric. The rest of the bag is made of plain black cotton. The tops of the bags close with a fold over flap that secures with a loop and button. The straps are shoelace style cord. The bags are partially lined with white fabric. This listing is for one orange/brown bag with tulip embroidery.
These bags are new old stock. They have never been worn, but have been in storage for 20 years. The photos show an example of the style, not the exact bag you will recieve. The embroidery varies a bit because it is done by hand.
Concerned Crafts was a non-profit organization that operated in the 90s with the mission of providing charities with goods for fund raising while allowing disadvantaged artisans to become self-sustaining. Goods were purchased by Concerned Crafts for living wages from artisans in Guatemala, India, Kenya, and Pakistan. These items are old stock from before Concerned Crafts ceased operations.
