And buzzing around every minute.

No one shoves her back on the shelf

She's versatile, forceful, and dynamic.

That isn't an apple pie in the oven, my dear, nope

Grandma is baking ceramics.

You won't see her trudging early to bed

From her place in the warm chimney nook

Instead her computer is humming along

You see grandma is writing a book...

She never takes one backward look,

To slow her down her steady advancing,

she won't babysit my kids anymore

because grandma has taken up dancing.

She isn't content with the crumbs of old thoughts

With meager and second-hand knowledge.

Don't bring your mending to grandma to do

You see she's going back to college...
